I was thinking that a USB hub with an external power supply that can act as a USB host. Is this incorrect?

The Flipper only does old school serial communication and USB slave. You might as well be trying to plug a USB device in the Flippers GPIO pins. It just won’t work.

Look up “USB Master Slave” to get a better understanding. If a device doesn’t do USB host it can’t be the “Master” devices.
