Why use micro USB in device?
All modern devices using type-c.
Raspberry Pi Zero W comes with Micro USB connector.

USB-C layout/circuitry is a real pain to develop / solder / etc (e.g. just check Andrea Barisani twitter on how much pain they had with USB ARMORY MK II). At least on the first iteration of the flipperzero, using USB-C will be a bit … I’d say optimistic.

Not all modern devices by far use type-c, and most of devices with microusb are working.
For me it would be strongly inconvenient if flipper zero had a type-c plug
