So i was trying to figure out how NFC cards work in those aracde centers
Is the change in terms of credit available in the cards stored locally on the card itself and gets updated and written on the card itself everytime we pay for a game or when we recharge it ? Or is the amount remaining on the card synced back to the backend system and saved there ?

It works differently in different places. Make some dumps and compare them - MCT has a nice way.
