New Flipper Zero, no region?

I just opened my first Flipper Zero, updated the firmware (0.82.3), and started messing around. I’m in the US and can receive but not send on 303.87 (frequency of a ceiling fan remote I own). I’m new here so I don’t know if that’s as expected.

However, the region code reported by holding the down arrow at the desktop screen is listed as just -- rather than EU or US or something:

Same problem and same “region” of -- after updating to 0.83.1.

I have the exact same issue. Just got my flipper today. Can’t transmit on any of the sub-Ghz frequencies I tried.

@jelder @bjax try updating firmware using lab.flipper.net in the Chrome browser. This seems to help the issue. I suspect this is related to region settings.

What update method did you previously use?

I’ll give that a try. I had previously used the iOS app.
