How RAW read works?

Hi,

Can you help me understand how RAW read works and how is it stored in the .sub files? Also, how come when recording in radio silence (nothing transmitting around, Flipper showing very low RSSI) it records thousands on samples in the RAW mode, and it’s not distinguishable from an active transmission?

IIUC, the .sub file contains time in microseconds between rising / falling edges. But that does that mean in radio silence? Does that basically record only noise? Shouldn’t we record also RSSI together with the edges?

Is there any explanation how Flipper uses the CC1101 chip to perform these readings, and what data Flipper actually gets? I’d appreciate links to any easy documentation, I can’t understand the datasheets.

Thanks
